Premium On-Grid Solar PV Plants for Home and Commercial Establishments

On-Grid Solar PV Plants or grid tied solar plants are used to reduce your electricity bills to ZERO! These are connected to your grid supply and thus can be used to power your entire home during night time using the net metering scheme. Discover how Bigwit Energy Solar plants can help you reduce your electricity bills at 0 investment on PPA or EMI options for home.

How On-Grid Solar Plants works ?

The panels on your rooftop capture the energy which is radiated from the sun in the form of light. The solar panels then converts this captured energy to (DC) electricity which then solar inverter converts and provides output power (AC) in a form which is usable for your home or office.

All the energy your home consumes is taken in from the rooftop solar plant, and the remaining is exported out to the grid. A special meter records this “export" of power and adjusts it in your bill accordingly.

Advantages of On-Grid Solar Plant

Why Pay for Expensive Electricity

When you install a on-grid solar plant on your home or office rooftop, all the energy it generates is free for you.
There is no maintenance cost as the plant does not have any moving parts. Only preventive maintenance has to be done which we take care of.

Think about our nature !

During the working of rooftop grid tied solar plants there is no release of global warming gasses like CO2. In fact for all the energy you generate thorough solar rooftop plants you save the gasses which would had otherwise been released.

Sound pollution levels are also reduced as rooftop solar plants don’t make a noise while working for you!

Accelerated Installation Option

Reduce the current industry average time to switch on a on-grid solar plant from 60 days to just 15 days !

When you confirm a order to install a on-grid solar plant the reality is that we can install it in just under 5 days. But the paper work involved to get your current DISCOM meter at home or office replaced can stretch this timeline to more than 90days in some cases.
With our accelerated installation option, turn on your rooftop solar plant in just 15days max with the use of a ZED device.

This ensures all the energy generated by your solar plant till the DISCOM replaces your electric meter does not go to waste !

Install your solar plant on ZERO investment using PPA option

Your own solar plant on Zero Investment (PPA  Basis)

It is past time for us to recognise the need of becoming solar. The concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has significantly increased, causing environmental damage and impacting the health of all living beings. The biggest contributors to this are huge industries with considerable electricity use. The biggest obstacle any office faces before enjoying the beautiful benefits of solar rooftop plant is the initial investment in the solar plant.

This option is available for commercial establishments who have requirement of more than 100kW rooftop solar plant.

Major components used in On-Grid Solar Plant

Solar PV Panels:

Solar PV Panels are the most important part of any rooftop solar system. As there are many variations in technology and make of the panels, it is very important to choose them wisely. You can go through this link here to help you choose them for your plant. These are mostly warrantied for 25 years (performance warranty) and have a life of about 30 years.
Panasonic, Trina, Canadian Solar are a few very excellent brands you can opt for.

Solar Inverters:

Solar inverters are the heart of the system. They basically convert the DC power generated by the solar panels and give AC output which is used for running our loads. Another most important function they have is anti-islanding. That is, whenever there is a power cut, they stop the output from solar panels as per the MNRE guidelines. They also have internet connectivity to help you understand the solar plants generation pattern. You can learn a bit more about them on the link here.

Lightning Arrestors and Earthings:

Every rooftop plant needs a separate lightening arrestor and three earthing to safeguard the system from leakage currents and lightnings. DC side and AC side both can have separate earthing for better dispose strength. Preferably they should be chemical type and made of copper. It is important to keep a check on their resistance levels (their health levels you may say) to ensure they earth the current properly.

Cables and safety devices:

Cables and connectors (MC4, thimbles, etc) are often the most ignored part of the Solar pv plant. Cables with appropriate core diameter  for the size of the system and thimbels which can transmit the current without over heating should be used. Some precious calculation is needed to determine the size of these components. Along with this, ACDB and DCDB (Safety devices on AC side and DC side) must have accurately calculated components. They protect the plant and the user in case of there is any surge in the current
